OK I had a bit of a dismal day — explained below — but I am home now in one piece and THIS^^^ FILM^^^ is on TV right now, and it is my third favourite film OF ALL TIME: “Joan of Arc: the Messenger“  (Clutch went on fully laden car 10 miles into 200 miles journey: the AA were their usual brilliant self, all three legs of them, but there was a lot of standing in the cold and wet even so, and sitting in cold cabs as they made the pore broken thing safe…)
