Bah my Michael Jackson essay is 2009 and my Rattle and Hum and Black SF pieces aren’t out yet.  I CAN SO TAKE HIM ON. Someone recommend the Jackson piece anyway.  Or can I do it myself? tomewing: I saw this, assumed it was about the comics artist, and thought “man I didn’t think Jonathan would be into HIM” Anyway, er, yeah, intimidated!

it is not his birthday unless it is also MY birthday, which it is not :( tomewing: My Tumblr feed seems to have gone Prince crazy. Obviously I have no objection to this state of affairs, but did anything set it off? Is it his birthday? My favourite Prince song, rather boringly, is “When Doves Cry”.
